Naval Architecture, Design & CAD

Design of yachts is a delicate balance. A bringing together of science and art but not forgetting function, ease of use and ergonomics. The design has to fulfill its purpose across a variety of criteria that are often in conflict. Different designs will have emphasis in different criteria and that will depend on the intended use of the vessel, area of operation & budget.

Scott has designed a number of vessels of which details and photographs of recent projects can be found through the links to the left. Ideas & concept designs will also be shown here. I take on one off and custom design work so please contact me to discuss your ideas.

Scott graduated from Southampton Institute (now Southampton Solent University) in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Yacht Manufacturing & Surveying and is an Associate Member at the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA).
